It was my first time visiting last week on Friday . I must tell you it was an exceptional place with good music and drinks . We were taken care by Jazz and man does he take care of you with his service . His knowledge for liquor and food was out of this world , he gave out good recommendations for parings. Got to try the lamb chops and they were absolutely amazing , we will back for Jazz .

Straight off the bat the service was great. The environment was lively and welcoming. The food came quick and was delicious. Ordered tacos ceviche and taquitos all 10/10. Would 100% recommend to anyone and everyone.

Not sure if they are under new ownership or cutting costs but over the last few months they went from the best Mexican food in Fremont to a place we will never order from again.
New menu = worse food
Take out quality used to be great, now it looks like a food truck, just throw 2 tacos in an empty container and consider it done.
Order one item, receive a completely different item.
And the best of all, order a burrito then spend the early morning hours sick from food poisoning. That's how I started my day today.
Whatever you did that you think you did better, REVERSE it all.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Came in on a quiet Friday night to no wait time. We were sat right away and waters provided a few minutes later. The server didn't come to the table for some time but once she was there she took out entire order. The food came out within minutes even faster than the drink from the bar.
We ordered the Elote appetizer, house ceviche, and the grilled chicken fajitas (add steak).
Elote ($9) was great wish there was more of it but it had really good char on it and seasoning. Too much TAJIN for my husband but I thought it was great.
The house ceviche was not nearly enough for a dinner. They give you house made tortilla chips that were great but they give you so much for no reason at all. I had to pick at my husbands food to fill up after my "dinner". Taste was good but leaves you wanting more.
Chicken fajitas (plus steak) tasted really good. The steak in particular my husband loved. This comes with rice and beans, unfortunately, these were not good. Not sure how you can mess up Mexican rice but they did!
All and all we were not impressed by the service (server specifically) and the food was ok nothing outstanding that we would come back for.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Mar 28, 2024Updated review1 check-in
Ok so this time around, it was a completely different experience. We started off with 2 classic Margs and they were FUEGO! We also got the side of guac which was fire as well. Got the 3 salsas with chips. Loved the 2 Salsas out of the 3. I wasn't a fan of the orange salsa. The VEGGIE QUESADILLAS here HIT THE SPOT! Last time I got the fajitas so I decided to try something new. Boy was I glad I got the quesadillas. We finished the whole dish. We also got the bowl which was good. But I think my go-to for next time is def the veggie quesadillas! My husband and I loved the ambiance here along with the music. The service here was great just like last time. The staff was extremely friendly and gave great suggestions on what to order. Erasmo and Rey were both really great and made us feel at home. Can't wait to go back here again for the drinks and quesadillas :)

Nidhi, We are thrilled that we were able to make your last experience memorable. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to make things right!
Mar 19, 2024Previous reviewThe WORST MEXICAN FOOD and MARGS I háček ever had in my life. Besides the interior decor, this place is awful! The service is extremely poor. The food and drinks are even worse. OMGGGGGG!!!!
This place needs serious help. We started off with chips and salsa which were $10 and tasted horrible. I have never been to a Mexican place where we paid for chips and salsa. They do not serve enchiladas (at a Mexican restaurant for crying out loud) which was the second red flag. I ended up getting the veggie wet burrito which had NO veggies in it lol. There was only rice, black beans and guac in it. My friend got veggie fajitas which she said had no flavor to it. The third red flag was their drinks. Good lord does this place need bartenders who can make a decent margarita. I asked for the spicy marg and it was so sweet that I had to switch it out for a classic marg. When they brought that out, it tasted like a cleaner. Omg what an awful experience. The host Ray was nice but other than that, this place is a NO GO! - Nov 12, 2023
This is a decent place with good food.
I've been here 3 times now, the first time by choice the last 2 times another chose & I couldn't remember I'd been until I saw/got here. We came for drinks and a bite to eat, weren't looking to "eat eat", but ended up eating each time. It was easy to get seated.
Every-time has been the same...its ok, takes awhile to get the order and its pricey all things considered. I'd say this is a place to gather, have drinks with friends and grab some food because of the ambiance and TVs. They have really good/friendly service, the place looks good, and the food is pretty decent.
This feels more made to be social & it looks great, but I for sure have my goto spots for Mexican food. Cheers, but I don't think I'll be back.Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 6Oh no 0Business owner information

This place has a great ambiance. The murals are well done. There's a private room that can seat 30 people. Our large group was well served by Rey's staff.
Rey, the general manager, was very nice. He was very personable and tended to our needs. The food was very good. Great customer service.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 16, 2023
My friends and I came here to grab some dinner on a weeknight. One of us had a dog, so they were able to seat us outside, which was nice. At the time we went, there were any heat lamps, so we were freezing by nighttime. I'd keep that in mind if you're going to bring pets/prefer to sit outside.
The consensus was that the food was fairly solid but overpriced. We also ordered margaritas that felt more on the sugary end, so we ended up just ordering straight tequila.
Service was a super slow, and it felt a little difficult to flag out waiter since we were outside. I'd probably just request indoor seating next time for an easier ordering experience.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Dear Sarah,
It's great that you and your friends were able to enjoy dinner together, and it's thoughtful of the restaurant to accommodate your group with outdoor seating, especially when one of you had a dog. However, I understand that the lack of heat lamps made the experience a bit chilly, which is something to consider for future visits, especially in colder weather.
I appreciate you sharing your experience. It's a valuable feedback that can contribute to the improvement of our restaurant's offerings and services. While it's great to hear that the food was generally enjoyable, I understand that the perception of it being overpriced can impact the overall experience and we are committed to assess and review our menu regularly.
The issue with the sugary margaritas is duly noted, and I can understand why opting for straight tequila was a better choice for you and your party. I'm sorry to hear that the service was slow and that it was challenging to get the attention of the waitstaff while seated outside. It can be frustrating when service is slow, and I understand that it was made even more challenging due to your outdoor seating. Requesting indoor seating for your next visit is a reasonable choice to ensure a more convenient and efficient ordering experience.
Your input is valuable, as it helps not only the restaurant but also future patrons who might have similar preferences. I hope your next visit will be more enjoyable!
Warm Regards,
Angel

Found this place on a random adventure in Fremont Arrived with my husband and three littles. We waited no more than 3 min to be seated so it was quick. The ambiance was so calm and I knew from the look of the inside the food was about to be fire! My husband ordered the quesadilla with asada and shrimp he LOVED IT. check. I ordered the quesabirria tacos (3) they came with rice and they were delish. Check and check. My kids each had a taco de asada and ordered fries as a side (weird combo I know) but they devoured the food. As for drinks my husband and I had two shots of tequila and he had a beer and I ordered the grapefruit hibiscus Paloma it tasted a little strong but hey I'm not complaining lol now for the service our waitress was so sweet I probably butchered her name I tried to look at her name tag on the way out I believe it was Juliene or juliana (I'm sorryyyy) but her service was GREAT she helped recommend items off the menu and was quick with any request of ours. This was our first time here and we will definitely be back.
